SI & outsourced development firms
This is what we do. 8around built this product to run its own client projects, and we still use it every day.
Does this day sound familiar?
- You have five projects, but only find out which one is late from the weekly report
- When a contract is signed, you retype the company name, amount and scope into another tool
- You match installment payments by opening the bank account, and receivables only show up at month-end
- With on-site and remote staff mixed, you count in a spreadsheet who's on what at what %
Here's how it works in Sprintingo
Everything below is something the product does today. We left out what it doesn't.
- 01A deal becomes a project with one button
Convert a card in the Won column of the pipeline and the company name and amount carry over as is, with weekly sprints, a board and a timeline created at that moment. There's no retyping step.
- 02You know progress without asking
The server counts the cards in the Done column and calculates it in real time. In the project list, you see on one line which week each of seven projects is in and at what %.
- 03Installment payments are your revenue
Split a contract into installments and check off deposits, and they count as that month's revenue. Total contract value, amount received, this month's payments and receivables are always shown above the project list.
- 04Subcontracting on the same screen
Record what you pay the vendors you subcontract to inside the project, and your share is calculated. Revenue is recorded in full; the split is shown separately.
- 05Staffing is visible from the people side, too
The employee list shows right away how many projects each person is on. On-site vs. remote is set as a project attribute.

Frequently asked questions
- Each client wants a different report format.
- You can attach documents and reports to each project, and for work that doesn't use a board, like on-site projects, we leave it open to manage with just a one-page report and daily scrum. You change board stage names and input fields on screen.
- Can clients see our board?
- By default it's internal only. If you need screens to show clients, we'll decide which parts to open and build them for you.
- We don't want team members seeing contract amounts.
- Screens with amounts are locked to C-level. Permissions toggle view, create, edit and delete separately per screen, so you can keep boards open and contracts and revenue closed.
